About the Role
Our 3D printing technology has revolutionized digital dentistry by allowing customers to produce high-quality dental applications with unmatched speed and reliability using cutting-edge dental materials, optimized throughput, and validated workflows.

As Director, Sales for our Oral Health team (focused on Clear Aligners/Thermoforming), you will be reporting to our SVP, Global Sales for Oral Health and responsible for making sure the entire team falls in line with our sales goals. You’ll be managing a team of Sales Directors based in locations across the US, with coverage spanning North America. We’re looking for a self-starting professional with managerial experience and a proven track record in capital equipment sales to the dental industry (especially dental labs). The ideal candidate will have a track record of both personal success and in leading a winning team of sales professionals.

We prefer this person be based in the USA. This position will require travel; as needed to support the sales team and sales function.

Responsibilities:

    • Motivate and energize the sales staff to make proactive decisions in all their communications with clients
    • Create and advertise weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals and keep C-level executives apprised of the progress.
    • Prepare sales reports and sign off on their accuracy before submitting them
    • Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitors’ changes
    • Ensure that the team has an established network with local businesses (dental labs) and find ways to maximize value from those connections
    • Implement a sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as our company grows
    • Reporting sales metrics to management via PowerPoint, Google Slides, Salesforce reports, or other presentation methods.
    • Demonstrated ability to create, hone, and oversee a winning sales strategy to ensure the company’s goals are met in the oral health vertical.
    • Travel (domestic) as required to support the sales force.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in pertinent area
    • 7+ years’ experience in sales management
    • Experience selling into orthodontic/aligner space (managing sales professionals that sell into ortho/aligners a plus)
    • 10+ years’ experience in direct or outside sales (B2B a plus), capital equipment a plus
    • Pertinent knowledge and experience in the area of digital dentistry
    • Strong prospecting skills and excellent closing skills

    • Proven ability to motivate and nurture a team of highly motivated and effective sales professionals.
$296,000 - $444,000 a year
At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The total target cash compensation range for this sales position is $296,000 - $444,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and on-target commissions you may be eligible for under the incentive plan for this role. Your actual salary will be based on your experience, work location, certifications and the unique skills you bring to the role. If you are not based in our Redwood City office, the range above will be adjusted for the geographical differential associated with your actual work location.
